The existence of Wilson symbolizes the possibility of language. Imagine how human beings can create language if there is only one man on the world. Since we are socialized into individuals that value communication and cooperation, if one day we were cast away, we can't live not because we can't survive the physical difficulties but the overwhelming sense of loneliness. Since our so-called instincts are communication and cooperation, the absence of them means we have no instinct anymore. Without any instinct how we can carry on our lives. Wilson signifies language and our will to survival in the form of language and communication, compare that the will to survival in animals is preying and they have developed various skills of killing and capturing.

But the fact is we are trapped by our own creation, customs, traditions, culture, religion and morality. Don't misunderstand I'm denying all those things altogether and despising them as meaningless. What I want to say is that humans, don't be so arrogant. Human, don't think that you are the master of truth. However, we can create truth. If things and values are creations, the implication is that they are not necessary. They are just historically determined preference. If they are preferences, what entitled us to be so certain?

I don't want to talk so much here. And I'm not promoting relativism. I just want to remind myself that we are free and we can create to make our lives beautiful and bearable. Be your creator.
